Rich Brian
Brian Imanuel, also known as Rich Brian, is an Indonesian singer, rapper, and songwriter. He started rapping for comedy at first but since his friend was a producer, he went rapping in his friend's studio. He became famous on his single Dat $tick (2016), which he had uploaded on YouTube and went viral. Soon a production and distribution studio, 88Rising, made a contract with him and since then his popularity rise.
The traditional method of achieving success as a musician would be having an agent to help musicians increase their popularity. Though eventually Rich Brian did it the traditional way, he blew up from his single Dat $tick, that put his name on top in YouTube.
Rich Brian had collaborated with other musicians, singer, and songwriters who had signed a contract with 88Rising such as NIKI, Warren Hue, and Joji. They made products/musics together to gain more audiences and fans for each songwriters.
