d4vd - Romantic Homicide
The music video of Romantic Homicide (2022) by d4vd conforms the genre and meaning of the song. It uses very low lighting, thunder flashing, and rain to convey messages, of the music itself, to the music video. What I like about the music video is that the music video shows a narration and a story in chronological order similar to the song, which allows audiences to be able to understand the music. Bruno Mars - The Other Side (feat. Cee Lo Green & B.o.B)
The music video of The Other Side (2010) by Bruno Mars shows Bruno Mars and the band during the production of the music. The music video itself conforms the genre of pop and the music video seems like it is low production. What I like about this music video is the cuts which the editor made that are synchronized on the music's beat which made the audience enjoy more when watching the music video. What I dislike about the music video is that it does not convey any story or narration which conforms with the music itself. It is more like just a random clips and pictures of Bruno Mars and the band with instrumentals.

The Vaccines - Tiger Blood
The music video Tiger Blood (2011) by The Vaccines shows clips of the band members performing and playing around. The genre of this music is indie (independent music). The music video itself conforms the genre of Indie since the editing of the music video shows a grainy clips with a lot of cuts between the band performing and just playing around. I like how the music video turned out to be since it is a low production music video that conforms with the genre of indie. Though it wouldn't really be my type of music video that I'd enjoy making since it seems like it gives very little effort on the video.

d4vd - Here With Me
The music video Here With Me (2022) by d4vd shows a clip of the songwriter himself along with an actress singing in a setting of a beach. The music video conforms the genre, dance/electronic and the how the music sounds, which is really slow and down. What I like about this music video is that it is telling a story which relates to the lyrics of the music. This has caused audiences to relate to the lyrics and understand them along with the music video. It seems possible to do with a low production while having a skilled team members.

Mumford & Sons - Hopeless Wanderer
The music video Hopeless Wanderer (2012) by Mumford & Sons shows a clip of actors who made a parody of the original music video for comedy purposes. This music video is a high production music video. It conforms the style of music at the beginning as it was serious then it turned out to be a satire of the band after they revealed their faces in the music video. I enjoyed watching the music video itself as it is a comedic music video, there is nothing to take seriously, and it made audiences laugh while watching. Though I might not take ideas from this music video as it is something that is not really serious and it is high production music video.

Weird Genius - LUNATIC (ft. Letty)
In this music video, LUNATIC (2017) by Weird Genius, it shows a small introduction to the music production group/band along with an actress and some scenes which seems to be a bunny character in a suit. The music video also shows the lyrics of the song, which I personally find useful for audiences, that allows audience to vibe, sing along, and understand the music video itself. I also like the editing part of the bunny and mask scene it seems really grainy to make it look like a glitch effect. But I don't quite like the context of the scene since I can't get the message of the scene.
Weird Genius - Sweet Scar (ft. Prince Hussein)
The music video Sweet Scar (2017) by Weird Genius shows an actress and the singer singing in slow motion. It did not show any of the producer's member as it only show the actress and the singer, which they had collaborated with. What I like about this music video is the slow motion effect which they used in the video, I think how they did it is by shooting the footage in 2x speed and then slowing it down during the editing to show a more slow and romantical vibe. I might use the effect in my music video production.

One Republic - I Ain't Worried (From "Top Gun: Maverick")
Media Language
The music video I Ain't Worried (2022) by One Republic shows a mix of the band singing and jamming at the beach and scenes from the movie Top Gun: Maverick (2022). The music video was made to promote the band members and also the movie Top Gun: Maverick, since the song is used as a soundtrack in the movie. The music video represents the air force positively by showing clips of the air force team from the movie. They are represented as strong or tough through the plane scene and fun through the beach scene. Females are also represented as strong since one of the movie scenes that were shown in the music video shows females being a part of the air force.
Audience
I personally see this as a good music video to promote both the band and also the movie since it shows both scenes in the music video. The music video itself fits the genre of the music, which is pop rock/pop, therefore it conforms the genre conventions. It also acts like a trailer for the movie as it does not give any spoilers and caught the audience's attention through its music.
Target Audience
They are targeting audiences who were fans of One Republic, fans of the prequel of Top Gun: Maverick, as well as fans of Tom Cruise since they feature it in the movie. They achieve this by showing shots and scenes from the movie. They use shots, angles, settings to try to show the audience that the band jamming and the movie scenes are in the same setting.
Industry
From the point of view of the industry, this music video acts like a trailer to the movie Top Gun: Maverick. It aims to promote both the movie and the band through YouTube, which is the platform that the music video is uploaded into. YouTube also allowed the artist to plug in their social media to promote the band even more through the description of the music video. This has helped One Republic gain a much wider audience.

In the music video, it shows a black family who have a messed up child who is living in the teen years doing messed up things such as alcohol, skipping classes, and more which causes them to be chased by cops. The media language shows a story-like or short movie for the music video which fits the genre convention, which is hip hop, by using black actors and actresses as it is a stereotype for black people.
Audience
The producers are trying to target audience who are most likely black since it is a hip hop music video which features black people as the main characters. They are trying to achieve this target audience by showing a black neighborhood along with stereotypes of black people in the music video. They also use camera angles such as close up shots and long shots to show these stereotypes and the setting of the story.
Target Audience
Due to the negative black representation which are shown in this music video, some audiences might be offended. The representation shows a negative stereotypes of black people smoking at a young age, skipping school, cheating, basically doing negative things. The negative representation which caused audiences to be offended could possibly cause a negative branding for the artist or could break their reputation.
Industry
Technological convergence has allowed and gave a big hand in the production of this music video. With the help of drones and cranes, some shots are possible to be taken as it features a helicopter/crane angle along with a camera movement. The music video is published in YouTube, which means that the artist could possibly advertise their music video to promote their branding. It also allows the artist to reach more audience through the YouTube algorithm.
