Since their main products are shoes, mainly basketball shoes, their advertisements aren't like the typical basketball kick commercial audiences see most of the time in television or YouTube. To attract audiences, Foot Locker creates a bit of a story for this advertisement and add a sprinkle of comedy such as the pun for "pick and roll". The simple concept of the advertisement made it so that it is easier for younger audiences to consume, which might be audiences in the age of 12-30.

The representation of black male athlete is being shown in the advertisement, as throughout the whole advertisement, John Wall is talking to his friends about his future after he got his signature shoe. At first these representation was going well, his friends mentioned that John Wall will have a better future like getting a championship, then a wife, and then mansion. But somewhere after that it went negative since J-Wall turned too comfortable and lost everything. Another representation is for Hispanic people, which is represented negatively when J-Wall's bank account's money got stolen by a Hispanic.

Audiences

This advertisement allow audiences to know and feel what it is like after obtaining a signature shoe, since the audience is aimed for young basketball players who are most likely trying to reach the NBA. This is because the NBA fans and John Wall's fans would feel connected to the advertisement by the scenes that Foot Locker are showing. And by having a star appeal in the advertisements, cause a wider range of audience to be interested in the media.

Though technologies such as the couch up stairs that John Wall is using when he gets "a little too comfortable". There are some visual effects when John Wall advertised his "pick and roll" car business which might refer back to old commercials which are made in the 90s.
